  1. Definition .

Oral understanding: it is a break during your studies to do something else.

According to the first person interviewed, it is all about experience. Even if you learnt many things at school, a gap year enables you to live it, to see it... you educate yourself professionnaly, personnally and educationnally. With all these experiences the students can mention in their resumes, they have more opportunities to get a job.

It is a break to do something totally different.

A gap year is a year you take, usually after high school in a foreign country to discover new places or to have new experience. Many humanitarian organizations employ students for their gap year.

You have to choose where you want to go and what you want to do.

In your presentation, you will have to explain the reasons for this choice, your motivation, and the difficulties you expect to face. You will have to find solutions to your potential difficulties.

Your presentation must last 5 minutes

You should bring a copy of your resume

at the beginning, you have to give a nice handshake and mustn't forget the eye contact.

You have to respect a certain dress code: no flashy colors, suit for men, suit or dress for women, not too much make-up...

 

 

 

At the end of the interview, ask for a business card.

 

 

 

You mustn't tell all your life

You mustn't answer personal questions. Instead of answering, you can say that you'd rather focus on the job.

Il y a deux temps en anglais: le présent simple et le prétérit.

Il y a deux aspects: Be + ING / HAVE + PARTICIPE PASSE

 

Be + ing insiste sur l'action du verbe.

Have + participe passé permet de faire un bilan de ses expériences au moment présent,

La première phrase insiste donc sur l'action alors que la deuxième se cantonne à un bilan des expériences.
